Why is Water & Music ending its paid membership?
This is a strategic decision to better serve the wider music tech ecosystem. After six years, we believe our greatest impact moving forward will come from making our research freely accessible, while focusing on deeper consulting work with companies shaping the industry.
When will my membership end?
All memberships ended on August 1, 2025. Auto-renewals have been disabled to prevent any unexpected charges.
Will I get a refund?
Yes, if you meet these criteria:
- Monthly members who renewed on/after July 1, 2025: Full refund
- Quarterly members who renewed on/after June 13, 2025: Full refund
- Annual members who renewed on or after February 1, 2025: 50% refund
Refunds will be processed automatically within 5–7 business days of August 1, 2025.
What happens to my Discord access?
You keep it! All current members maintain lifetime access to our Discord as part of the Water & Music alumni community.
Can I still access the article archive?
Yes! Even better, the entire 300+ article archive is now free for everyone.
